| AFTER Now it is more than just a daily driver...and we do drive this car on the road! With special thanks to Warren of Warren's Automotive in Fairview, AB along with Kelly's incredible mechanical abilities, a 359ci engine combined with various other mechanical modifications, it is now a 13 second car in the 1/4 mile. |
| 1966 VW Beetle (above) What can I say....we imported this little car straight from California and it landed in Edmonton in the middle of a snow storm! This is the first snow this car has ever seen. After we brushed off the snow we had a better look. Great California car with no rust and a nice 1914cc turbo charged engine. At the moment "Herbie" (as our little friend Carter calls her) is all stripped down and the engine is out and being overhauled to get maximum "horsepower". One day I may even be able to drive it.....we'll see! |
| 1970 Volkswagen "Baja Bug" This is our newest toy that we'll be cruiz'in around in for some of the summer. Kelly still has to do a complete safety to make sure it is road worthy but he's already had it out in the back 40 goin' thru the mud holes and all was well. It needs some new engine parts and brake adjustments for sure but nothing Kelly can't handle. |
| 1971 Standard Bay Window Volkswagen Bus Another of Kelly's collection, this bus will be for sale in the Spring of 2008 if anyone is interested. Right now it is being used to store all Kelly's VW parts in for the winter. This bus has no registration or insurance so best suited as a parts vehicle. The body is in half decent shape and is fairly straight with good glass. |
