Introducing our newest addition.....Reggie....a 9 month old Thoroughbred/Welsh Pony stud colt. We purchased him from Lana Robinson of Peace River and brought him home on March 8, 2008. He is very friendly and loves attention. He has just enough "boyish" attitude to make you laugh and fall in love with him. He is always thinking...you can see the wheels in motion at all times! Reggie was well handled as a foal and weanling and has adjusted very well to his new surroundings. We did a refresher course in picking up his feet....he was a little stubborn to begin with but quickly caught on again. He has learned what being "tied" means and now stands quite nicely for his grooming while tied to the hitching post. The farrier was out today (March 14) and did his feet.....after a little bit of a temper tantrum....lol. By the last rear foot he seemed to figure out that if he just stands nicely it works out much better for horse and human! Next time will be a breeze I'm sure.
To the left is a picture of Reggie's sire, 1997 registered bay thoroughbred standing 15.1hh, Bold Oracle. He was shown in halter ages 2- 4 and was always in the ribbons. Also shown under saddle at age 4 while placing consistently in dressage, english pleasure and hunter under saddle, as well as continued halter success. He was sadly retired at age 5 due to a suspensory injury. He has a fantanstic temperment and is beautiful and athletic, all qualities he passes on to his foals. Amazing bloodlines, some of which include Gallant Man, Nearctic and Bold Ruler

To the right is a picture of Reggie's dam, 1997 grade bay welsh pony standing 12.2 named Red and Reggie at 3 months old. She was shown in grade pony halter, junior showmanship and lead line walk/trot. The combination of Thoroughbred and Welsh Pony makes for an incredible sport pony and with a pedigree like his I'm sure he'll become a force to be reckoned with....just you wait and see!!
